Jeffrey was born and raised in north central Illinois (USA) about 100 miles south west of Chicago. His first taste of Europe came in 1983 as a soldier stationed in West Germany near the Czechoslovak border. He returned to Europe in 1987 to finish his degree and moved to Prague in 1992 where he is currently based. His wife is Czech and they have no children, but they had unique dog (Atomic Tapanek) who lived to be 20 years old and was also the inspiration for the first book in Czech (Zustan dele) written by Jeffrey’s wife on how to increase the longevity of your dog.
